Bay Harbor Islands

Bay Harbor Islands is two islands in the Intracoastal Waterway between Bal Harbour and North Miami, joined to the mainland by the Broad Causeway and to the beach by the Kane Concourse bridge. The East Island is the commercial and condo side: Kane Concourse's restaurants, banks and galleries, and streets of low- and mid-rise buildings looking across Indian Creek at the backs of the Bal Harbour towers. The West Island is almost entirely single-family.

Until recently the East Island's condos were 1950s–70s garden buildings and small towers such as London Towers; the last decade has replaced many of them with eight-story boutique projects — Kai, One Bay Harbor, Bay Harbor One, Onda, Alana, La Baia and The Well — many with private docks on the waterway.

It is the quietest of the three towns in this hub and the one with the widest price range: renovated units in the older buildings sit at one end, waterfront new construction with boat slips at the other, and the beach, Bal Harbour Shops and Surfside's main street are all a ten-minute walk over the bridge.
