About Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove is the oldest settled part of Miami, a village on Biscayne Bay south of Brickell that kept its tree canopy, its sailing clubs and its walkable center when the rest of the city went vertical. CocoWalk and the streets around Main Highway and Grand Avenue hold the cafés and shops; Peacock Park, Kennedy Park and the Dinner Key marina line the water; the Barnacle, Vizcaya and the Kampong are its historic estates.

The condo market is small and bayfront. The 1970s and 80s towers — Grove Isle on its own island, Grove Towers, the Mutiny and the Yacht Harbour buildings — are being joined by a new generation on South Bayshore Drive: Park Grove, Two Park Grove, Grove at Grand Bay, Mr. C Residences, Vita and the Arbor, most of them by name architects and priced accordingly. Inland, the Grove is single-family streets and small buildings, so the condo inventory is a few thousand units in a handful of places.

Buyers come for the setting rather than the skyline: bay views through trees, a marina slip, and a village center reachable on foot. Brickell and downtown are ten minutes north on Bayshore Drive or one Metrorail stop away.
