Miami Spice 2026

Miami Spice runs every August and September, the two slowest months of the restaurant year, when the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau persuades a few hundred restaurants to offer a fixed-price menu: a three-course lunch or brunch and a three-course dinner at set prices, at places that would normally cost twice as much. It is the one time of year when the tasting-menu rooms in Brickell, the hotel restaurants on the Beach and the neighborhood spots in Coral Gables and Wynwood are all on the same list at the same price.

The list is long and the map is the useful part. Participating restaurants cluster hard: Brickell and Downtown, South Beach and Mid-Beach, Coral Gables' Miracle Mile, the Design District and Wynwood, Coconut Grove. A condo in the middle of one of those clusters can walk to twenty menus; a building a mile outside has a different two months. We take the official participant list, place each restaurant on the map, and count for every condo building how many are within a mile — and how many of those offer lunch, how many dinner.

This is a count, not a ranking of quality: we make no judgement about the food, only about where it is. Prices and menus are the program's published ones at the time we checked and do change. When the program ends the edition is archived and stays online as a record of the year; next summer's list starts fresh.
